Results of the Urban Nodes Workshop in Vienna
The workshop identified challenges, such as the lack of logistics oriented development, lack of coordinated spatial planning at functional area level and robustness and vulnerability of the network. It looked at good practices which included the local SUMP SETP 2025, the strategy on commercial spaces Produktive Stadt, and the Wien Süd joint multimodal cargo terminal.
Vital Nodes Leaflet
The objective of Vital Nodes is to improve European interconnection while developing sustainable mobility within the urban nodes of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). Vital Nodes will deliver evidence-based recommendations for effective and sustainable integration of the nodes into the TEN-T network corridors.
D3.4_Preliminary VitalNodes toolbox
A first version of this enriched toolbox was delivered after the Vienna pilot case, and used for the deployment workshops covering the Tier 1, 2 and 3 urban nodes
D3.2_Format for Vital Nodes Workshops
Lessons learned from the Vienna workshops are used to create a format and basic script for following workshops (for Tier 1, 2 and 3) and offer a framework to get more and specific insights in the integration of the Urban Node in the TEN-T network
