The urban node of Norrkoping is located on the comprehensive TEN-T network, in proximity of the “East Link” high speed railway line. This study aims to identify the missing links and bottlenecks between transport modes of the TEN-T in the urban node of Norrkoping.
The Action is part of a Global Project on the construction and upgrade of the “East-Link” high speed railway line and its multimodal integration with the urban nodes along the railway network. It includes specific studies leading to works to develop a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for the urban node of Norrkoping and the region in its proximity.
The SUMPS will cover all aspect of an integrated transport planning. In the long term the proposed action will generate a significant modal shift including a 20% increase of passenger transport in favour of public transport and rail.
