The Paphos-Polis Chrysochous interurban Cypriot road belongs to the Comprehensive TEN-T road network and is approximately 30 km long.
The Action aims at improving road safety conditions and geometric standards in some sections of this road which suffers from serious operational and safety problems and does not provide a satisfactory level of service for users.
The Action is organised in three activities: (i) public procurement and project management, (ii) supervision and (iii) construction of climbing lanes, improvement of junctions and horizontal curves and road safety measures.
The implementation of these measures will result in reduction of travelling cost, times and casualties, increase of the capacity of the road network and also improvement of travel speeds.
