The different studies focus on the creation of a new link between the Core urban node of the city of Helsinki and city of Lonja, in order to increase the accessibility and connectivity between the core and its wider urban network, as well as enabling a modal shift to public transportation along this node.
The CEF will cover 50% of the total budget, the action is divided along a general plan for this track and will include also a supplementary planning, which will contain signalling systems, electrified track planning, as well as the project appraisal and evaluation of its effects and externalities.
